Terminal Drive
Cowan Group Engineering (CGE) was selected by the Oklahoma City Airport Trust and the Department of Airports to complete a comprehensive analysis of its roadways and drainage systems along its terminal access roadways at Will Rogers World Airport.
The first task for Phase 1 was the development of an Engineering Report including a pavement condition/distress assessment, short and long-term pavement improvement recommendations, improvement phasing plan, probable construction costs, drainage analysis and recommendations, and overall design concepts for the Terminal Drive corridor.
The second task for Phase 1 was the development of construction documents for the replacement of 2,800 LF of pavement along southbound Terminal Drive and improvements to the enclosed storm sewer system. The final construction documents included improved storm sewer system, three (3) to four (4) lane typical asphalt section with geogrid, and signing and striping.
Construction sequencing included a multi-phase approach to reduce any congestion in the airport’s daily operations. Crossland Heavy Construction was the low bidder and construction was completed under CGE’s inspection and supervision for the Airport Trust.
